How is the festival organized and run?
The Toronto Turkish Film Festival is developed and delivered by a dedicated team of cultural workers, academics, film critics, curators, and writers, alongside volunteers who contribute their time and expertise in support of the festival’s mission. The organization operates on a not-for-profit basis, and any funds raised are reinvested into programming, accessibility, and the long-term development of the festival.
Is the Toronto Turkish Film Festival affiliated with another organization?
No. The Toronto Turkish Film Festival is an independent, not-for-profit organization. It is not a subsidiary of, nor operated by, any other organization or institution. The festival is governed independently and developed by its own organizing team in accordance with its mission and mandate.
Toronto Turkish Film Festival acknowledges the land it operates on is the traditional territory of many nations including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples and is now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples.
